Politics! For some it's a topic of conversation that thrills to a point of esctacy and for others, it's a waste of their thinking time. So with that being said, I like to bid farewell to Helen Thomas. Helen has released a statement after she recently came in heat for making some questionable remarks. The now former White House correspondent was caught saying on a recording that she feels the Jews "should get the hell out of Palestine." Read thee entire excerpt below.
"Helen Thomas announced Monday that she is retiring, effective immediately.
Her decision came after her controversial comments about Israel and the Palestinians were captured on videotape and widely disseminated on the Internet."
“I deeply regret my comments I made last week regarding the Israelis and the Palestinians. They do not reflect my heart-felt belief that peace will come to the Middle East only when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect and tolerance. May that day come soon."
Thomas will turn 90 on Aug. 4.
