The tribute to thee early 1980s Detroit techno dance tune “Sharevari.” The newest version is a collaboration with LCD Soundsystem’s Nancy Whang, produced and mixed by Nick Millhiser of Holy Ghost!

Noell said the following in a press release: Making this song became about being someone else for a little while. At a time when everything around us is difficult and grating and extremely real, for these six minutes I indulge in a total fantasy – an alternate universe, both of the past and future, that’s mysterious and sexy and fun. Inhabiting that world as a character who is unaffected and cool was a brief and welcome respite for me, and I hope that listening to it can transport others to that place as well."

A Number of Names was formed in the very early 80’s by a group of guys from Michigan caught up in the Italo Disco scene.

They named their only noticeable track “Sharevari” after a local club night, which in turn named itself after a French trendy clothing label (this was spelled Charevari but they changed the spelling to avoid conflict).

Without further ado. Get into the Aidan Noell & Nancy Whang groove. With INYIM Media latest hit parade. Thee inescapable “Sharevari” (A Number Of Names Cover.)
