Allow us to reintroduce you to the authentic superstar songbird Laura Mvula and her spectacular sprightful tune ‘Got Me’!

No stranger to our pages for the last decade. Laura Mvula has delivered some of our most preferred tracks including "Phenomenal Woman" and "Green Gardens", just to literally name a couple. Now she's back sharing her single entitled, ‘Got Me’.

Hailing from thee beautiful skies of Birmingham, England. Thee ever evolving visionary artist is getting ready to unravel her third solo studio album ‘Pink Noise'. Ready to unleash July 2nd. Brought to us by Atlantic Records.

Follow-up her last record, 2016’s ‘The Dreaming Room’. ‘Got Me’ is a wonderland of infectious 80s-retro sonic delight. A funk-pop jitterbug of a song. It has an inescapable ear-worm beat. Ready for you to play on repeat at every finish. Easy breezy and a whole lotta fun. Laura said thee following about the project in a press release: “It is a funk-fueled release of inhibitions; another taste of the euphoric feel-good sonics that explores without fear on this new album”.

Miss Mvula then spoke the following about her soon to be released album: "‘Pink Noise’ is the album I always wanted to make. Every corner is made warm with sunset tones of the 80s. I was born in 1986. I came out of the womb wearing shoulder pads. I absorbed the dynamism of the 80s aesthetic right from my first moments on this planet.

She continued: “Wrestling with identity seems to be one of the rites of passage of the established artist. Making ‘Pink Noise’ felt like the most violent of emotional wrestling matches. It took three years of waiting and waiting and fighting and dying and nothingness and then finally an explosion of sound."

Furthermore explaining: "As if it was always here this record is my most honest and unapologetic flying of the freedom flag. In my adult years I had forgotten how important dance was to me as a vital tool of my creative expression. I brought it back, just for me, so I could find my delight in dance again. And now I can’t stop dancing. I can’t wait to play this album live.”

There you have it! She's simply the best. Now get to it and get into it. Press play right below!
