"In between the speeches and jokes at the 2019 Golden Globes, some of the biggest stars in attendance at this year's awards ceremony were catching up. Musical worlds collided in a conversation between Rami Malek and Lady Gaga, and Bradley Cooper jumped at the opportunity to meet 93-year-old Dick Van Dyke.
While the biggest awards of the night were caught on camera, some of Sunday night's most intriguing moments were left out of the limelight.
Here are some of the moments viewers watching the show at home may have missed during the telecast:
1. Hidden under the tablecloth, Spike Lee wore sneakers with the word "resist" written along the sole.

3. A fallen star met A Star Is Born. During the awards ceremony, Bohemian Rhapsody's Rami Malek greeted Lady Gaga. One might think Freddie Mercury and Ally would've been friends in another life.

4. Bradley Cooper ran up to meet Dick Van Dyke, now 93 years old. When Van Dyke took the stage to present a clip from Mary Poppins Returns, he was met with a hearty applause for his career spanning more than seven decades.

7. Last to meet press backstage, Oh shared her love for winner Glenn Close.

Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh hosted the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards, which took place at the Beverly Hilton on Jan. 6.
