Macaulay Culkin Re-Creates 'Home Alone' Scenes for Google Assistant Ad

It's our favorite shining twinkling star from the 90s, our forever Richie Rich...

"Macaulay Culkin is back as Kevin McCallister — kind of.

The Home Alone star stars in a new set of ads for Google Assistant that dropped Wednesday and features a shot-for-shot remake of scenes from the Christmas classic.

The bottom line is that it is a lot easier for Kevin this time around thanks to the device helping along the way in the minute-long commercial. Scenes reference his homemade meal,"Operation Kevin" and famous aftershave moment.

"It was interesting going back and doing a lot of this stuff," Culkin said in an additional making-of video. "They did a really good job on the set decoration and the props. And all the shots were really spot-on."

Home Alone is available on digital now at Google Play.

Culkin, who by choice was out of the spotlight for years, has been making more and more appearances on talk shows to promote his website and podcast, Bunny Ears.

In addition to the Google spot, Culkin most recently had some more fun with Home Alone when he dropped by the popular YouTube channel Cinemassacre to visit with James Rolfe, aka the Angry Video Game Nerd.

Dressed as a pizza delivery boy in a callback to the first film, Culkin plays and reviews the games with Rolfe.

For the most part, the games are brutal and exceptionally difficult, with random tasks and characters that have nothing to do with the actual films. Culkin remarks a number of times that he doesn't remember that ever happening to his character, getting more and more frustrated. The nearly 20-minute video has great gags and nods to the movies, but the big payoff is at the end when Culkin and Rolfe re-create the famous booby-trapping scenes from the films.
