Interpol's – New Tune “The Rover”

In the early 2000's there was an infamous underground musical explosion that only those lucky ones that experienced it and lived with it, we call "Indie Club kids 2.0". Leading the pack are now new legends The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Faint, The Rapture, and thee most important artist in this list... Interpol!

According to our sources, the boys are currently holding a press conference at Mexico City’s decaying mansion turned art gallery named "General Prim 30". Announcing the release of their nuevo album entitled Marauder. It’s said to be more like a performance art rather than a press conference.
Stylized and semi-scripted. They used a mural revealing the album art and release date and the group even held a soundcheck to make sure they covered every corner. Apparently, the whole event is set to be used and turned into a future musique video.

"The Rover" is the title of the new single and the trio’s first major release since 2014’s El Pintor. Working with a new producer, Dave Fridmann, the sonics are at a maximum volume threshold intertwined with aggression and speed.

“The Rover,” is a bouncy mixed with rock n roll and a sleek punk angst. Although we have to always say it like we mean it, the tune at a certain point gets repetitive after a few repeats and re-spins on the shuffle board but nonetheless, it's a void that'll be hopefully filled once the rest of the record is unleashed.

In a press release, lead singer Paul Banks was quoted as saying, “Marauder is a facet of myself. That’s the guy that fucks up friendships and does crazy shit. He taught me a lot, but it’s representative of a persona that’s best left in song. In a way, this album is like giving him a name and putting him to bed.”
