PRONOUNCE FW18 Backstage!

Delivering their second collection as part of GQ China’s on-going showcase during London Fashion Week Men’s, designers Yushan Li and Jun Zhou of the Chinese label Pronounce revealed an East-meets-West range of tailored silhouettes that alternated between relaxed and fitted, and a colour palette perfect for a gloomy autumn.

Across this eye-popping spectrum of everything from pinks to purples, they featured long coats and exaggerated shirting, as well as a varied range of textures and styles; their standout looks also included a traditional Mao suit jacket, classic wide-leg tailored pants, and oversized jackets in velvet to wool.

Throughout the line-up, the duo seemed to be at their strongest whenever they placed influences from their Chinese heritage alongside the easy-going attitude we’ve come to love about London’s fashion preferences. It was this play on cultures and styles that added refinement to the already mixed-and-matched base of Pronounce’s Fall/Winter collection and further translated an assortment of heavy layers and loosely tailored pieces into one of the season’s most notable outings.
