No Doubt to Collaborate With Fred Perry on Ska-Inspired Collection

Get your Beacon Street butt over to Fred Perry this coming Spring for some No Doubt inspired threads.

Purveyor of streetwear-meets-preppy staples Fred Perry has teamed up with its first musician collaborator since Amy Winehouse: No Doubt.

The band will work with Fred Perry’s design team to create “a collection of classic Fred Perry styles, referencing their ska and reggae roots and tapping into Fred Perry’s relationship with subculture,” reports WWD.

As fans of No Doubt and their iconic style as a band, we’re pretty excited to see this.

The timing is a bit surprising, though. No Doubt may be a little past their heyday, and we’re not sure if the comeback they’ve been trying to stage is really taking. But despite that and their frequent appearances on worst-dressed lists (which we never pay attention to) over the years, they’ve always been a pretty awesomely styled, influential group. That, paired with Gwen Stefani’s design know-how, could make for a pretty successful collaboration.

Though it will be a small one: A $95 slim-fitted shirt will go on sale in January, followed by punk-inspired tartan-check V-neck sweater, $170, and Fifties bomber, $250 to hit stores in the spring.

Needless to say, our ’90s selves can’t wait to get our hands on any of the items. -Fashionista.com
