Talk about quietly getting married, as model, singer and now actress Agyness Dean weds actor Giovanni Ribisi in the City of Roses. Fashionista.com has the very candid spectator story below.
Agyness Deyn, born Laura Hollins, is just full of surprises these days. This year alone, she revealed her real age (ok that wasn’t that much of a surprise), eschewed modeling for acting and now, apparently, she’s gotten married. And to a pretty famous actor. How do we know? It’s a pretty cute story.
As Fashionologie pointed out, it all started when Tami DeVine, who happens to write for Pasadena news site Crown City News, spotted actor Giovanni Ribisi, who you may remember as Phoebe Bufay’s brother on Friends, “passionately kissing” a blonde woman at the LA County Registrar’s Office last Friday. Here’s what happened next:
When I realized who he was, I asked him if he was Giovanni Ribisi. He was very friendly, and said yes he was, and I told him I enjoyed his work. He thanked me and then asked me if I was getting married today, and I said no, we had waited too long and that it was finally time to get our child’s birth certificate. I asked him and the blond woman if they were getting married today and they quietly said yes, in a shy kind of way. DeVine didn’t realized until later that the bride to be was Agyness Deyn, but the proof was in the picture (above) they apparently let her snap. When asked, Deyn and Ribisi also told DeVine that they’d been dating “a while.”
Deyn has yet to confirm the news, but if it’s true, this was Agyness Deyn’s first marriage, as far as we know. Back in 2008, Deyn was rumored to have been engaged to Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr., but that union never came to be. Ribisi’s not the first person we’d picture Deyn ending up with, but we guess it makes sense that, as a model in New York, she’d date a musician and as an actress in L.A., she’d date…and marry…an actor. And they actually make a pretty cute couple.
We’ve reached out to Deyn’s agency and will report back if we hear more.
Update: Agyness Deyn and Giovanni Ribisi are indeed married. A rep for Ribisi confirmed to the Huffington Post: “Agyness Deyn and Giovanni Ribisi quietly married in Los Angeles over the weekend.” Congrats!
