Kanye West Plus Vogue Plus Riccardo Tisci Equals...

According to fashionista, Kanye West + Vogue + Riccardo Tisci equals... ...
"Anna Wintour, who refused to comment on Kanye West‘s inaugural fashion collection, may not be putting West’s designs in a Vogue spread anytime soon. However, West did make his way onto one of Vogue‘s hallowed pages for the March issue.

In “Tisci’s Time,” an article that recalls a similar W story from September 2010 (called “Tisci’s Tribe“), the Givenchy designer poses with some of his famous muses: Liv Tyler, Karolina Kurkova, Florence Welch, Liya Kebede and a shirtless West, who’s kind of grabbing Welch’s ass in the photo, which was shot by Annie Leibovitz. As far as we’ve been able to determine, it’s West’s first time being shot for the magazine.

In addition to wearing Givenchy on various (sometimes controversial) occasions and attending Tisci’s shows, West commisioned Tisci to art direct his collaborative album with Jay-Z, Watch the Throne. “I was a little bit scared,” Tisci told Hamish Bowles, “because I’m not an artist.”

He went on to tell Bowles that their meeting turned into “a jam session that involved Rihanna, Swizz Beatz, and Pharrell Williams, all freely exchanging ideas ‘like a family giving opinions to each other,’ remembers Tisci, ‘sharing–which is something that fashion his missing.’”

We wonder what else Tisci shared with West. Some design advice perhaps? Tisci was rumored to be involved with West’s clothing line in the beginning, though there’s no mention of this in the Vogue piece." - Fashionista.com
