Fashion writer Cheryl Wischhover tell us that Lady Gaga was present in Nyc last night,
"To cut the ribbon of her highly anticipated Gaga’s Workshop at Barneys. Sadly, we missed Gaga’s giant-scissors-wielding entrance, but she clearly owned that custom-designed-by-Karl-Lagerfeld Chanel hoop-skirted ball gown.
After a quick sweep through the crowd (and a kiss for a lucky Bryanboy, who was wearing an enormous yellow feathered coat) Lady Gaga was gone, leaving behind a party loaded with blue and pink cocktails and a huge room full of Gaga-themed holiday goodies. From designers (Prabal Gurung, Alexander Wang, Christian Siriano, Pamela Love) to actors (Neil Patrick Harris, Blake Lively) to just fabulous fashion personalities (model Carolyn Murphy, Mario Sorrenti, Brad Goreski, Leigh Lezark, to name just a very few), everyone was shopping and celebrating. Even the kiddies were out in force, and we can confidently say that the must-have item for the under-10 set is the Gaga hair bow headband. We spotted several little girls, including the Sartorialist’s (aka Scott Schuman) two adorable daughters, sporting them.
The temporary Gaga’s Workshop, which will run through January 2, was divided into a maze-like arrangement of structures. Treats, accessories, jewelry, clothes, books/media, and beauty products all had their own areas. The overwhelming vibe was, well, sort of overwhelming and over-stimulating, punctuated by greetings from the friendliest Gaga elves who managed to soothe our jangled nerves and help us focus.
