Actress Q’orianka Kilcher, who starred as Pocahontas in 2005’s The New World (yeah we've never seen it either.) She was arrested yesterday during a political protest in Washington, D.C.
The Boston Globe is reporting that, "the 20-year-old latched herself to a fence at the White House while her mother Saskia poured a thick black substance over her."
"The mother-daughter duo were protesting a visit by Peru’s president, Alan Garcia. (Q’orianka’s father is a Peruvian Indian). According to The Globe, Q’orianka “was in Lima last week in support of Peruvian indigenous leader Alberto Pizango, who has been accused of fueling protests against foreign investment in which more than 30 people died."
