Kylie Minogue Covers Elle UK

Electro pop queen Kylie Minogue is a platinum blonde on the January 2013 cover of Elle Uk and in the issue she describes what its like when she looks in the mirror revealing she's not the hot pant wearing young-in any more .

Kylie Minogue has admitted that there are times where she wants to “scream” at how she has aged, comparing her face to “a Spielberg special effect”.

The 44-year-old told Elle UK that although she occasionally feels like bringing “those hot pants out of retirement”, she has started fixating over her appearance. “I’m not going to lie about this. There are lots of times I look in the mirror and I see that gravity has taken hold,” she said. “Or I suddenly see my face on a phone or on Skype and it’s like a Spielberg special effect and you just scream, ‘Who is that?’ Sometimes, I forget [I'm 44] and think, ‘I must get those hot pants out of retirement’ and then some mornings I look in the mirror and I see 94 not 44. That is the reality before the make-up. And midriff tops are definitely out for good.”

Minogue also revealed that she would consider having cosmetic surgery, arguing that it is no different to using make-up. “I haven’t gone down that route yet and I don’t know whether I will but I’m not against it,” she said. “We put make-up on every day, we tint, pluck, wax, we do anything to make ourselves look as good as we can and I think it’s pointless being hypocritical about something that if it’s done well can be really good.”

Minogue went on to address her battle with breast cancer and the bond she now feels with every woman who has gone through the ordeal. “Women come up to me in the street and just start talking to me about what they are going through… I stand there in the street and I just hug them,” she said. “I hug them because we both know what they are feeling. I feel close to every one of them and I think they do to me, it’s not about anything else but what we’ve all been through.”

The Kylie issue appears in the January issue of Elle UK, on sale Wednesday, December 5. Also available as a digital edition. Go behind the scenes with Kylie at Elle UK here.

Fancy A Caboodle?

If you weren't convinced the 1990's were back well then this should bring back some plastic day-glo memories as designer accessories maker Eddie Borgo is creating their own line of jewelery boxes but be aware your lunch money for the week wont cover the price.

Eddie Borgo‘s just-launched jewelry boxes are like the chicest caboodles we’ve ever seen. Of course, we’re probably just blinded by ’90s nostalgia. Borgo modeled his jewelry boxes after classic train cases. They were handcrafted in Italy and come embellished in exotic skins like snakeskin, something called “terra lizard,” crocadile and shagreen. Gold triangle details along the borders mimic Borgo’s signature spiked jewelry. So basically, these are the opposite of that plastic caboodle you had when you were 13.

But Borgo saw a clear need for them. “Most of my girlfriends keep their jewelry on doorknobs, hanging from nails on the wall, on the corner of a mirror, or (in rare instances) in a drawer,” he said. “It was something that I have begun to notice more often since I began designing jewelry on my own. Everyone wants to show you their jewelry collections.”

Oh to have an Eddie Borgo jewelry box and enough Eddie Borgo jewelry to fill it with…

It’s a really big ask but it would make a lovely holiday gift. They’re available for (only!) $2000 on and the blue shagreen one is already sold out. So, you know, you gotta move fast!-fashionista

Drew Barry more Brings The Momma Kook To Ellen

Sarah Jessica Parker’s Strange Bikini Lies

Who knew Manhattan's favorite party girl had insecuritiess of the teenie weenie white bikini!

At Tuesday night’s premiere of In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye (which airs today btw), WWD caught up with Sarah Jessica Parker, who makes a cameo in the doc.

When asked about her first Vogue sitting, a 1994 shoot with Grace Coddington and Steven Meisel, Parker recalled, “[Grace Coddington] pulled a teeny-tiny white bikini off the hanger, and in my whole life I had never worn a bikini…I didn’t wear a bikini as a little girl. I certainly didn’t wear a bikini as an older little girl, and nor would I ever put one on today. I thought ‘It’s Grace Coddington, I should put on what she asks me to do.’ Linda Evangelista sat in the corner and told me how to stand. I have never worn a bikini since.”

It’s a story Parker recounted for‘s “Vogue Stories”–a series in which past Vogue subjects recall their big Vogue break. “I thought, I can summon enormous courage and reject the bikini and perhaps end my relationship with Vogue forever, or I can summon a different kind of courage, the kind where you agree to do whatever is asked of you, and that is what I did,” she said.

Good thing she did because she looks incredible in the Miesel photo–and went on to cover Vogue six times. But that part about having “never worn a bikini” any other time? That seems a bit off–if overly modest (she was the only Sex and the City character to keep her bra on). A quick google search reveals numerous photos of SJP in a bikini. As well she should, she has the bod. And isn’t this the same woman who made purposefully showing off your bra a “thing”? -
