Breaking Bread: Lenny Kravitz Wants You To "Stand" Up!

Lenny Kravitz is soul, he's funk, he's rock 'n' roll, and most importantly he's a true pioneer in the musique history. Now, he has returned with a stellar new tune off his upcoming 9th studio album, "Black and White America".

The tune is a happy pick-me-up and in true Kravitz form, he's letting the funk-rock-pop sounds, along with its positive lyrical message, shine boldly on his first single "Stand". A constant staple of Lenny's within all his previous records, "Stand" gives you the feeling that summer has officially started.

'Black and White' will be out on August 30th, but until than; hear the sunny sounding tune right below kiddas!

Because We Love All Things PINK! Especially The Singer.

Singer-songwriter-Performer extraordinaire, Pink, is plain and simple an all-around awesome human being. The following excerpt is an interview Pink exclusively did with People magazine. She spills how husband Carey Hart and her thought they had it all planned out when it came to welcoming their first child.

"We watched Ricki Lake‘s documentary The Business of Being Born early on. It was so enlightening and empowering,” the new mom tells PEOPLE. “We took all kinds of classes and decided to work with midwives at The Sanctuary … I was really looking forward to the whole rite of passage — giving birth perfectly present, unmedicated, in the way nature intended.” However, that was before daughter Willow Sage made her own agenda known, arriving on June 2 via a Cesarean section following two nights of labor. “She was in the frank breech position, which is head up with her legs up by her head in a pike position. We tried everything to turn her around,” Pink, 31, reveals. “Turns out this little girl had other plans — she is my daughter, after all.” “It all turned out perfectly in the end, even though it wasn’t what we intended, because she is healthy and happy and so am I,” the singer adds. “We’ll go for our natural birth next time, for sure.” Deciding on the name Willow Sage for their newborn was particularly heartfelt for Pink, who turned to her love of nature for inspiration. “The willow is my favorite tree. I grew up near one. It’s the most flexible tree in nature and nothing can break it — no wind, no elements,” she explains. “It can bend and withstand anything. I love that sentiment. I want that for her.” “Sage is cleansing and sacred,” the Grammy-winner continues. “And it sounded great together. It doesn’t hurt that her last name is Hart — flexible cleansed heart.”

People Magazine tells that Pink admits things have unraveled themselves pretty nicely, despite having a rocky beginning.

"We had one major meltdown the first night home. Carey couldn’t figure out who to comfort first. It was pretty funny, actually,” she teases. "Poor guy. Willow's been amazing. Everyone gives you this terrifying picture of no sleep at all, bickering which leads to divorce … they made it sound like waterboarding. It’s not that bad! I think I’ve cried more than she has and that’s just because I’m emotional and a little nuts."

"Carey is a natural. He calms her down like only my boob can." Pink laughs noting that the proud papa rises for every breakfast lunch & dinner and diaper change. "I knew when I met him he’d be a great father, but watching him fall in love, watching him nurture her, I’ve never been so in love with him in my life. He keeps thanking me for giving her to him. It’s a beautiful time."

Meryl Streep Is "THE IRON LADY!"

The powerhouse legendary actress that is Meryl Streep returns to the silver screen in "The Iron Lady" as Margaret Thatcher, the former British prime minister whom is responsible for becoming the first woman in 1979 to hold such a high seating position in office.

The film is due out in theaters on January of 2012. And you kiddas can rest assure that this role has Oscar gold written all over it. Doesn't hurt that it's also being released just in time before the Academy Awards nomination ballot is released.

"The Iron Lady chronicles Thatcher’s rise to power as a political figure as the newly-elected head of the UK Conservative Party in 1975, and her becoming the country’s Prime Minister four years later. That move was literally unheard of in the traditionally male-dominated world of British politics at the time.
Like all biographical pictures concerning famous historical figures and politicians, The Iron Lady aims to offer a more intimate examination of Thatcher, including the toll her career took on her personal life and relationship with her husband, Denis (Oscar-winner Jim Broadbent)." -
