Yeah Yeah Yeahs Officially Turns 20 Y.O.! Zephyring Two Decades Ago This Week.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs officially turns 20 Y.O.! Thee 2000's New York, new wave of rock-scene (The Strokes, The Rapture, etc) that reshaped alternative musique vastly differing from 70's glam, 80's synth, and 90's grunge.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs played their first gig. The concert happened at the Mercury Lounge, where else, but good ol' New York! Can yall believe it’s been almost a quarter of a century since they smashed out their debut show?

Karen O, guitarist, and keyboardist Nick Zinner, and drummer Brian Chase only stayed in the small club venue scene for a short period of time. Luckily for everyone they filmed that special moment. Which at the time probably felt spontaneous and not premeditated.

Now on thee 20th anniversary, the group unleashed the clip on their Facebook page. The night also wasn't shy of other up and coming shooting stars! Other rock n rollers included residential faves like the Candy Darlings and another lil band from Detroit Michigan.

Yall may have heard of them? They go by the name, The White Stripes. They along with the Yeahs Yeahs Yeahs have sculpted and churned out quite a stellar career resume for themselves if we do say so ourselves.

Thee unleashed footage showcases the tune “Our Time” by the daring trio. Scope it all out right below!
