Max Hamilton Talks Career, Inspirations And Reflects On The Value Of Authenticity

In our teenage years, most of us were most likely getting through High School coursework and watching teen drama re-sees on repeat. However, Brit model-turned-entrepreneur Max Hamilton knows how to nail a valuable feat, jetting off around the world and plowing seeds of success.

And if this indicates his plea to achieve even further, we are so here for it. Watch this space…

What was the moment you realized that fashion was what you wanted to do?

Only when I got scouted did I realize I liked the industry, I had little understanding of the fashion industry until I began working in it, and then I realized how much I liked the fast-paced spontaneous lifestyle.

Who did you follow growing up?

I always looked up to Brad Pitt when I was young.

How did growing up influence your fondness for pursuing fashion?

I actually never considered modeling until I was scouted. I played a lot of sport growing up and once I began modeling, I realized how much I liked the industry.

Three words that describe your best self are…

Spontaneous, compassionate, and focused.

How were you discovered? And what were your first feelings when you happened to sign your first contract?

I was scouted by a fellow model! I never considered modeling, I used to play a lot of sport and was due to move to America to play full-time. So, it was a shock when I got scouted, I turned down America after doing two weeks of modeling and I loved the pace of the industry.

Could you describe your favorite modeling experience so far?

Shooting in the desert of Dubai was amazing! We made it for sunset it was beautiful.

How’s it been for you since commencing?

Busy! I have had the opportunity to work in a bunch of different markets and industries, I love the pace of things. It’s kept me busy to say the least but enjoyed it all.

As a greatly esteemed model across social media, what are your thoughts in regard to the whole Instagram thing?

I think social media is great. Although it carries a lot of responsibility and I try as best as possible to use it to influence people positively and uplift people who follow me through the content I post. I think if used correctly it can benefit a lot of people in many ways!

Do you feel emboldened through your social media channels? If so/not, how come?

No, I just try to use my social media to build my businesses and as a work-related tool.

What do you wish you could have done differently throughout your journey?

I think if I change anything I wouldn’t be where I am, and all the failures and lessons helped me grow so I would keep the journey the same! I think the best confidence comes from within not external factors.

Any major inspirations?

Top 3: Grant Cardone, Tommy Chiabra, and Ralph Lauren.

What’s your biggest remorse?

I try to let go of any remorse as I believe I am always in the right place for my timing.

What’s the wisest lesson you’ve learnt being in industry?

Believe in yourself first before anyone else does.

Any advice to give the young wave of aspiring models, wanting to venture into such field?

Don’t be afraid to be authentic. People will take notice and appreciate your originality.
