Camila Cabello Struts A Splendid And Riveting SNL Debut Evoking Marie Antoinette & A 1990s Madonna "Vogue" A LA MTV Video Music Awards!

Camila Cabello struts a splendid and riveting SNL debut evoking a Marie Antoinette-Esque groove meets a 1990s Madonna "Vogue" a la her MTV VMA  performance!

"Camila Cabello pulled out all the stops -- and all the most elaborate costumes in the Saturday Night Live closet -- for her debut on the late-night program on Saturday (Oct. 12).

The "Señorita" singer wasted no time in diving into the drama with her new material: she kicked off the night with new single "Cry for Me," the first taste of new music that she promised to drop over the course of October.

Wearing her hair in an elaborate, 18th-century pile of curls, a full-skirted ball gown complete with bustle, a stacked collar of pearls and the most furious facial expression she could muster, Cabello climbed up on tables and worked a folding fan while singing through the heartbroken verses of the new hit.

From the dancers to the dresses and the fan-flashing choreography, Cabello conjured powder-wigged memories of the Marie Antoinette-inspired vibe of Madonna's 1990s MTV VMAs performance of "Vogue."

For "Easy," Cabello traded her maximalist approach for a minimalist with shining results. Her next song saw her taking her hair down and trading the gown for a slip dress with nothing but a microphone to keep her company -- no dancers, no elaborate routine, just her and her band lowly lit in the background. "Easy" is Cabello's freshest single, given that she released it on Friday (Oct. 11), but it was clear to see her special connection to the track as she sang through its live debut.
