As Telemundo readies their new upcoming series "El Secreto de Selena (Selena’s Secret)", set to premiere Sunday, Aug. 25, ItsNotYouItsMe Throwback Tuesday pays homage to the late queen of all music. We're igniting a nostalgic torch to look back at Selena's top 7 astonishing TV performances!

Synopsis:

"The story is an adaptation of the book also titled El Secreto de Selena, written by Telemundo journalist Maria Celeste Arrarás and published in 1997. It revisits the moment Arrarás goes on-air to announce the death of Selena Quintanilla. Then, the first trailer shows fragments of scenes from the trial of Yolanda Saldivar (Selena's convicted murderer) and showcases Saldivar's behavior during different key moments, ranging from Selena's wedding to Chris Perez to heavy discussions with the late singer.

Selena Quintanilla’s music has helped many people cope, heal broken hearts, find love, and be happy.

Whether it’s “Como la Flor” or “El Chico del Apartamento 512,” her songs are charged with empowering and positive lyrics that have become must-have selections in anyone’s playlist.

Although the Queen of Tejano passed away in 1995, her legacy is kept alive thanks to her devoted fans, her beloved family, and social media.

Her official Instagram account, for example, is the perfect place to get schooled on some Selena facts and catch some rare, never-before-seen videos.
