ItsNotYouItsMe "Back To The Future" Edition Marks 24 Years This Week Since Selena’s "Dreaming of You" Hit No. 1 On The Billboard 200 Albums Chart!

"Selena's album Dreaming of You, released after the Mexican-American singer's death in 1995, blessed fans with a set of unreleased and previously heard songs that were recorded between 1992 and 1995.

Never shying away from her roots, eight songs on the album -- including “I Could Fall in Love” and “Dreaming of You” -- were fully recorded in English. The other five are Spanish-language tracks that have become timeless songs, including “Amor Prohibido,” “Como la Flor” and “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.” Her bilingual single “Wherever You Are (Donde Quiera Que Estes),” featuring Barrio Boyzz, gave the world a taste of her Spanglish-singing skills, making it a very appealing album for the new generation of Hispanic Americans.

Although Selena’s dream of promoting and touring around the project was cut short on March 31, 1995, when she was killed at age 23, her legacy continues to shine.

Monday marked 24 years since Selena’s Dreaming of You hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, on Aug. 5, 1995.

More than two decades later, we're curious to know: What’s your favorite song on the album?" - Billboard.com
