Erykah Badu’s Entrancing Tiny Desk Concert Series!!!

Thee inimitable and truly uncomparable  R&B queen goddess Erykah Badu has always unleashed musique on her own waves throughout her illustrious 25-year career. Whenever she feels like it, she does it. A mantra that lives within the light of all authentic like artists. There is no light switch when it comes to honest creativity.

Although Erykah hasn’t felt like releasing any nuevo musique as of late since her crazy sexy cool stellar 2015 mixtape "But You Can't Use My Phone." But alas we don't need any new musique from Badu in order for her to partake in  a new web series of "Tiny Desk Concerts." The video recording is used for artists who usually are looking to hype up new musique. But again when you're an artist like Erykah, you do what you do when you feel like doing it. So she just felt like doing one. So she did.

Badu’s Tiny Desk Concert included oldies but goodies all across the board. Plushly she opened with the soulful “Rimshot,” from her classic first record Baduizm. And then she worked out a pensive yet beautiful version of “Green Eyes,” from her follow-up, 2000’s Mama’s Gun. There's a bunch of lovely delovely jazz instrumentation hyped up behind her adding only brownie points to thee whole arrangement.

Something you should make a point to do at some point in your life gals and gents is watch a sunset standing over a Malibu cliff or catching a live performance of Erykah Badu.  Dig out all the soulful yumminess right below!

Nicopop Bubble Pop Electric Track "'Elephant'

A young pop George Michael during his years in WHAM! or a modern-day cutie patootie Nick Jonas and his "Elevator", are often missed in today's pop-friendly radio mix. A male presence in the pop scene is sure lacking but one must not forget pop art culture influences are all around us at a constant.

Drawing inspiration from the visuals and stimulations of the early 2000s, an era we've been waiting for pop culture to start awareness of and bring reverence to such a specific, era-defining time in music culture.

The time for bubbly pop electric sunkist jams with fun hooks and melody comes served by an artist that goes by the name of Nicopop! An electronic artist, animator, and producer. He is basically the answer to a specific sentimental decade of pop culture obsession. Including the birthing and revolutionary internet consumption and manifestation by the innovators that would later eventually propel what we see now and call as pop commercial social media.

Nicopop goes back to the days when Paris Hilton ruled the Hyde club streets on Sunset and Lindsay Lohan was Hollywoodland's IT actress. When Britney Spears decided to shave her head because after all, she's Britney bitch. Christina Aguilera released her iconic "Stripped" album.  And of course, there was the celebrity fueled, superstar magnets, reality television birthing, telephone dependency, curation addiction, and pendejas (look it up ya'll) being born.

Nicopop carves out a distinctive space in the electronic pop zephyr, bringing back to life a classic sound with an upbeat new twist. The 2000's inspired tune is entitled “Elephant.” The track features thick pop beats, stellar finger-snaps, and video game-style samples. Remember when N'Sync, to Blackstreet featuring Janet, Samantha Mumba, Brandy, Avril Lavigne, Mandy Moore, etc all did such samples back in the early millennium. It's a sweet charged-up pop anthem, just like his contemporaries today, Poppy and Kim Petras are dishing out. Nicopop is one to look out for. And we sure shall!

“Elephant” is shiny and bright. With heart emojis and celestial eyes on our parts just like his cover artwork below! Hit play now on thee ItsNotYouItsMe hit parade.
