Eve Says Her Record Label Had Second-Guesses About THAT Iconic 2001 Gwen Stefani Collabo!

Let's throw it back to 2001, rapper Eve conjured up an iconic hit with none other than Gwen Stefani. Yes, THAT legendary early 2000s collabo.

Eve earned thee massive smash with the unforgettable "Let Me Blow Ya Mind."  A hippy dippy catchy bubble pop electric hook with the perfect bounce to the ounce. The hip-hop/pop duo melded impeccably just like peaches and creme. However, miss Eve spilled to CBS on her daytime job "The Talk" saying that her record label back then had plenty of second-guesses in regards to Gwenie Gwen Gwen's feature.

Stefani was actually on the show as well, when Eve spilled the 411. Sharon Osbourne asked Eve what her first encounter with Gwen was: "I just loved Gwen. I was a huge fan, and I was like this is gonna work. Although, the label didn't think it would work."

Stefani replied, "Really? I thought it was the opposite. I thought they said, 'You need to have her on the record.' " Eve attested that she had too "fight" for Gwen but in thee end was happy with the end result.

A year later the Dr. Dre-produced tune nabbed the Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Eve tells Vibe Publication about the entire project, "Gwen and I had an instant connection both artistically and spiritually. We could have been sisters in another life."

"Let Me Blow Ya Mind" is a 2000s Hip-hop meets rock-pop classic.
