Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Leave it to Elton John to deliver some early warm n fuzzy feels with a whole lotta reflection. Elton who's spent the last year commencing the first leg of his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour. Another anticipation just around the river bend is seeing his story translated to the silver screen in the upcoming biopic film entitled "Rocketman".
However, presently John is taking another look back at his career in his nuevo Christmas advertising campaign for UK-based department store headed by John Lewis & Partners. The dazzling and endearing campaign launches with Elton jazzing out at a piano in his humble abode. Sharpening up his piano keys, he opens with his iconic tune “Your Song.”
The stellar commercial takes a time machine through the legend's career. Timelining from his euphoric 1970's debut including his one of a kind otherworldly untamed costumes. Playing at stadium shows to playing at a piano in a bar in his early days. The as campaign also goes all the way back through his coming of age as a bambino. His childhood days shows that his musical artistry was wired into his DNA from birth. A young Elton unwraps a piano from his grandmother showcasing his exuberant at such an age.
President John Lewis thanks Elton for their Christmas advertisement in a statement saying: “It's been a lovely opportunity for me to reflect on my life in music and the incredible journey I have been on, and how first playing my Grandmother's piano marks the moment when music came into my life. The ad is absolutely fantastic and I've truly loved every minute of being a part of it.”
