The Very First Trailer For Elton John Biopic "Rocketman"




Alright, attention all you honey rockers or in this particular should we say, Rocket men and women! To one of the true geniuses to EVER grace our musical sphere is sir Elton John. Next summer (2019), the brilliant new biopic about Elton is making it's way to the silver screen. Today, we luckily get to view the first glimpse at the movie's first trailer.

The almost 2-minute long teaser showcases thee Rocketman himself, during both his “Bennie And The Jets” and for obvious reasons “Rocket Man,” era. Ever so thee outraseously dressed, the first look is even more glittery and vividly transcendent. It has concert footage and personal drama montages floating from one scene to thee next.

Director Dexter Fletcher who also directed next months, much-hyped about Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, as seen promoted on our pages here for the last year. But Mercury was glam-rock and Elton is a whole lotta dapper dandy glamorous pop! Theatrical, over-the-top, this biopic shall be one film not to miss.

Psss!On a sidenote, it's been reported that the fellow playing Elton John's charatcor role is Taron Egerton, the Welsh actor best known for starring in the two "Kingsman" films.  Egerton, who was announced as the movie’s star earlier in the year, coincendentally already has a memotry with Elton John.

In 2016 Egerton's animated movie  I’m Still Standing," featured him playing a reformed-criminal gorilla named Johnny, and he sang Elton John’s “I’m Still Standing”. It's a small world after all...






Because we know you dig music trivia time, also in last year’s "Kingsman: The Golden Circle," which again starred Egerton, featured Elton John himself in a pretty important role, as himself. the performance concluded with an impeccably cheeky CGI-assisted fight scene! Press play below:
