Whitney Houston and Carrie Bradshaw wore same dress two decades apart

According to one of our preferred sources: Whitney Houston and Sarah Jessica Parker have more in common then we knew!

"Sarah Jessica Parker‘s “Sex and the City” alter ego Carrie Bradshaw is the definition of a fashion original — except when it comes to a particularly memorable dress she wore in the franchise’s first film.

The white flower-adorned dress Parker wears in the 2008 movie’s opening scene was originally designed for the late musical icon Whitney Houston, who wore it in a 1987 promotional photo shoot that later wound up on the cover of Life magazine.

The gown was created by Sarasota, Florida-based brand Eugene Alexander, which also outfitted stars like Elizabeth Taylor, Jane Fonda and Loretta Lynn in the ’80s and ’90s.

The dress did receive a few tweaks before appearing in “Sex and the City,” however: The version Parker wears is chopped into a mini and features just one super-size hibiscus blossom, while Houston’s original had two." - pagesix.com
