Welcome To Musician Jonathan Something’s Wonderland!

Welcome to musician Jonathan Something's wonderland via his brand new song "Outlandish Poetica." Hailing from Connecticut, Ca, Jonathan Something aka also known by his birth name Jon Searles produced a far-out edgy rock pop psychedelic number that is sure to be on our favorite list of songs of 2018. Yes, we said it and that's saying a lot. "Outlandish Poetica" is obscurely sweet yet melodic, obtaining a pop sensibility that is both sunny yet raw and all the way rock n roll.

The lyrics are even better. Imaginative and surreal, it cheerfully depicts an eccentric nightmare in which Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird and the 1986 All-Star basketball team inexplicably ambush Jonathan Something... Storytelling on pen and paper ala Salvador Dali shows how independently whimsically dark and intellectually fun Jonathan Something is.

Intertwining riffs that swirl in such a way that makes you wanna sway along or dance up a muck too. The backgrounds chaotic arrangement only adds colorful imagery to his nightmarish situation. This song is butter and honey. Sugar and Spice. And everything both naughty and nice!

Alluring and undeniable, like a dreamsicle come to life, the multi-instrumentalist had the following tea to spill on his record:

"It was just one of those tunes that sort of came to me. I wrote it on my dad's boat on our way home from this place called Block Island. The intense humming of the engines sort of puts you in this meditative headspace that I really enjoy for writing. I was just jamming on the guitar riff and that first verse, as weird as it is, popped into my head. Then from there, I tried to just follow the natural narrative flow and it somehow brought me to the coda of Larry Bird stealing my money."

Jonathan Something's upcoming album is set to unleash in August via Solitaire Recordings. Now without further ado carebears, get plugged into that electricity socket and do everyone a favor and press play now!
