Gwen Stefani’s Heart Shattering ‘Used To Love You’ Video Has Depressingly Arrived

Gwen Stefani’s heart shattering new single ‘Used To Love You’ has dropped the accompanying video and sadly enough kiddas, the light gets even dimmer. Speaking to both Entertainment Weekly and MTV, Gwen was quoted saying, "I didn’t feel fulfilled. That record [’Baby Don’t Lie’] with Benny was done that way because I had just given birth and had just started on ’The Voice’ and felt like I should do something in music, but what was I going to do? There wasn’t enough time. So I tried to make a record where I was just kind of involved — which is how a lot of people do it, but it didn’t work for me."

After putting off her 3rd solo album indefinitely, Gwen goes more into depth by stating..."I decided to start all over again. Since June, it happened really.[But] I just feel so lucky to make music. It’s a gift to channel true emotions and then capture them. When I finish a song I listen to it so many times — until I can’t listen again — because you learn things about yourself that you didn’t even know you were saying, or needed to say.”

“Used To Love You,” is indeed the first official single off her upcoming record. And while she's going through a divorce after being married 13 years with singer/muscian in his own right, Gavin Rossdale, its pretty obvious where she got the inspiration for the somber ballad.

Remaining still on the singer's flawless skin, the whole video is Gwen pondering, wishin', hopin', thinkin' and prayin, perhaps even planning and dreaming each night of Gavins charms that still won't get him into her arms again.
