A FIRST LOOK AT BAZ LUHRMANN'S WHIMSICAL HOLIDAY COLLECTION FOR BARNEYS

Got some dough laying around for some luxurious Holiday ornaments? Barney's hope you do for their latest Holiday colaboration!

Each year, Barneys taps someone famous to collaborate on a campaign and limited edition collection for the holidays. Following collabs with Lady Gaga, Disney and Jay-Z, iconic filmmaker Baz Luhrmann and his wife, costume designer and collaborator Catherine Martin, have teamed up on Baz Dazzled Holiday, and we have a first look at the collection set to hit select Barneys locations and Barneys.com Thursday. Twenty-five percent of proceeds will go to Room to Read, a charity that supports literacy and gender equality in education in developing countries.

The holiday decorations and gift options are fittingly extravagant, theatrical and luxurious. Items include a $$785 engraved champagne saber (you know, that giant knife people are always using to dramatically open bottles of champagne), a $7,000 backgammon set, and an assortment of taxidermy-like, dressed-up stuffed animals that feel like they belong in one of Luhrmann's fantastical films.

The collaboration doesn't end with product, though -- a campaign and in-store activation to be unveiled Thursday will include whimsical costumes developed with famed designer Zaldy, as well as dancers, contortionists and woodland creatures.

But for now, click through the gallery here for a sneak peek at the products.
