In the 90's LA Lights were all the rage but lets fast forward back to 2014 because theres a new light up show in town for the older folks!
If you found yourself whimpering with jealousy upon viewing the Instagram video Lily Allen posted after the Ashish show in London on Monday (below) — showing the pop star fawning over a pair of fresh-off-the-runway light-up sneaks — you’re in for a treat: The U.K.-based label has just announced it’s doing another collaboration with Topshop, and those L.A. Lights-esque Buffalo platforms are part of it.
Launching in May, the upcoming Ashish x Topshop collection will “embody the world of camera-facing celebrities on holiday, relaxing and partying,” according to a release — which leaves quite a lot of questions, aside from, of course, what said celebs are apparently wearing on their feet.
As per designer Ashish Gupta, “This is going to be the biggest project we have done together and also marks 10 years of my creative partnership with [Topshop].”
Between these club kid-worthy kicks and that annoyingly well-guarded Kate Moss collection coming in April, 2014 is shaping up to be an excellent year for Topshop collabos. -fashionista.com
