Watch the First Installment of Wes Anderson And Roman Coppola’s Prada Candy Series

Candy wants it all in this special short film for the new Prade Candy parfume

Ann Curry would have no idea what this short film for Prada’s new fragrance, Prada Candy L’Eau, was referencing.

A collaboration with acclaimed filmmakers Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola, the film may take place in modern times (if the spring 2013 Prada is any indication), but is clearly French New Wave-inspired. According to Prada, the series “encompasses Candy as the most sparkling and unexpected character.”

In the first of three episodes, we see Lea Seydoux aka Candy winning the affection of two male friends in a Paris café and adorably stuffing her face with popcorn at a movie theater. The scenario recalls Jules et Jim or just about any Godard movie starring Anna Karina.

In other words: Love. Watch below.
