R.I.P Rue McClanahan




Golden Girl Rue McClanahan has died at the age of 76, her manager confirmed today. Better known as a co-star who played Blanche Devereaux in the 1980s classic hit sitcom, "Golden Girls".

It's reported that Rue suffered a huge stroke at 1am this morning. Manager Barbara Lawrence tells People magazine, "Rue went in peace surrounded by her family in a New York hospital."

"Rue began her stage career in the 1950s, winning roles in television shows All in the Family and Maude in the 1970s. She is the third of the four Golden Girls stars to pass away in the last few years. Estelle Getty died in 2008 while Bea Arthur died last year. And well, we all know what's been going on with the legendary Betty White as of late! She's 88 and her acting career is stronger more popular than ever.
