"Brian Cox stars as Jacques, the owner of a gritty New York dive bar that serves as home to a motley assortment of professional drinkers. Jacques is determinedly drinking and smoking himself to death when he meets Lucas (Paul Dano), a homeless young man who has already given up on life. Let me just say kiddas when I read that Paul Dano was starring in 'The Good Heart, I immediately knew that I was onto something stellar. From the miserable teenager who took a vow of silence until he could accomplish his dream of becoming a test pilot in 'Little Miss Sunshine' to Eli Sunday in Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will Be Blood...I will go as far as to say that Paul's acting abilities not only hold a brighter than sunshine future for him but solid performances show depth that of Daniel Day-Lewis + Sean Penn × Johnny Depp.
