Harmonic Ratio by Mario Testino & Keith Coventry

Back in 2001, Mario Testino collaborated with Keith Coventry on a cover shoot for L'Uomo Vogue that revolved around the Harmonic Ratio concept. Mixing science, beauty, fashion, drawing and photography; this is a very fascinating editorial.

Talk Of The Day

“The last few years I’ve done hardly any modeling; when it’s with a brilliant photographer, or to support this film, for example, or it’s very interesting, then I’ll do it here and there. But for the most part, I’ve really enjoyed the process of acting, and I’d be more inclined to dedicate my time to that.”

—Lily Cole, a model’s whose acting career actually sounds kinda promising, to NYLON.

Back in October I featured a post talking about the film 'Rage' which coincidentally co-stars Lily Cole. Check it out below!

Campaign for Tiger of Sweden

The Autumn/Winter 09.10 campaign for Tiger of Sweden is kinda moody, with a bit of a dark vibe (cheating? relationship trouble?) A love triangle between Taylor Warren, Charlie Westerberg and Oscar Spendrup. -Homotography

Allow Me To Introduce You To Sir Patrick Grant!

'Patrick Grant, he who's credited with the revival of the once great, then stagnant, now great again London tailors, Norton & Sons, is not only a learned and suave man but also consistently turns himself out impeccably.'

'With an EMBA, and a thesis on luxury British heritage brands therein, Grant knows a thing or two of the outfitting of the modern gentleman. His passion for the sustenance of the art of tailoring and his preoccupation with the provenance of both his clothing for E. Tautz and Norton & Sons (cloths derive mainly from the British Isles) marks him apart from contemporaries.'

'His style is both preened and subtly playful so as to not appear austere in its sophistication. It's quintessentially British, it's conservative and it's out-of-my-cash-league but its old-world allure is undeniable. This is not a manner of dressing I'd ever attempt to emulate but this time of year, I believe, demands such a harking back.' Courtesy of Male-Mode

The UK Changes...

No More Confusion! At least according to this fella down below.

Felix & Alex Dunstan by Ben Toms

Art Imitates Life in AnOther Man

‘Art imitates life for a season where real men are defined by their craft’ is the title of this rather eccentric editorial from the current Fall/Winter 09.10 issue of AnOther Man.

Mixing all sorts of styles, the editorial is photographed by Horst Diekgerdes and styled by Bryan McMahon. The lengthy title makes sense when you know that in addition to models, the editorial features boxers, fashion editors, actors, opera stars, etc… This includes George Barnett, Olly Alexander, Connor Donlon, Charlie Casely Hayford, Brad Pickett, Matthew Stevenson Wright, Ivan Putrov, David Bradley, and David Courts. -Homotography

Happy 2010: A New Year, A NEW DECADE!

This year New Year's Eve is a milestone, since it's not only the end of another year, it's the end of a decade. A decade which will be remembered for all the DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA! Well not only for its ups and downs but for such events that will go down in history. The evolution of fashion (the constant revival of trends from previous decades) and of course our own personal history. This last year in particular proved to be quite a challenge due to the circumstances in the global economy, yet it appears somehow that we've all surpassed this obstacle and look forward with our heads held high towards the future with optimism and perseverance.

I would like to thank each and everyone of you, my readers, my veleveteen rabbits for your support throughout this year. Your support within this last year have been of great importance to me. I can't go on without saying that it has been during 2009, that Itsnotyouitsme has experienced a stellar and to completely be frank, unexpected growth, and for that I am really thankful to all of you for simply enjoying what I dig :)

On the eve of a new decade and year, I would like to wish you the best for 2010. May all your dreams and goals be fulfilled, may your life be filled with happiness, and Love. The Greatest thing you'll ever learn, is just to Love, and be Loved in return! And last but not least, may you have lots of stylish outfits that channel your own expressions...and just have FUN with it!

Trends may come and go but my/our style is timeless ;)

And like ABBA sang 30 years ago in 1979, Happy New Year!
